It is possible to buy books with a 10% discount at QBDBD. This can only be done by booking with us prior to the new period. Reservations can be made digitally through our web shop, but also at our counter in the bookshop.
When booking, please note that there is a deadline. The deadline is always the Monday in the second week in a new period. Booking before this deadline, means you can pick up the books at our desk in the bookshop when you’ve received an email confirming the availability of the books. The books can be paid for upon collection.
Keep an eye on our Facebook page/Instagram for the deadlines for booking in the different periods.
In general, the (mandatory) study books are for sale in the store for the courses currently running or which start within two weeks. This applies to both the (mandatory) bachelor courses and the (mandatory) master courses. Study books for the other pre-sort, elective, minor and master courses are available through the QBDBD web shop and can be ordered (5% discount) and reserved (10% discount).
Dictations are available about a week and a half before the exam. The lecture notes and a summary of the study material are often available for different courses. The lecture notes are offered as an extra material in addition to the compulsory lesson materials. These summaries cannot serve as a substitute for the compulsory curriculum. Our lecture notes and summaries are written by Lawbooks.
Study books can be exchanged or returned in the store within two weeks after purchase, on presentation of the receipt and a pin receipt, provided the book is in the same condition as when it was bought. Study books ordered through the web shop must be returned to the VU bookstore of the ground floor. Dictations are never exchanged or taken back.
It is only possible to pay with a debit card in the bookshop. Credit card, book vouchers and other types of coupons are not accepted.
All sales within the QBDBD store are based on the QBDBD sales regulations, which can be consulted here.
The QBDBD store is organized and operated by the Foundation for QBDBD Member Service. This is part of the legal faculty association QBDBD and will be guided by Róisín O’Shea Dijkhuis during the year 2022-2023.
If a book or syllabus is not in the QBDBD web shop and it has been prescribed by a teacher, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and we will ensure that the book in question will be available as soon as possible.
